A post about wanting to have sex and not wanting to have chronic pain

I’ve mentioned my chronic pain before, but only briefly. It’s something I’ve dealt with for a few years but within the last year my pain has gotten much worse and has interfered with my ability to enjoy sex, both alone and with Liam. Besides the physical pain itself, my depression and anxiety play a big role in that too. I’d like to start talking about these things more in depth and expand the conversation about chronic pain and mental illness and sex. Our Unintended Hiatus

Well hello again, internetz. Things have been a quiet around here for a while, if you haven’t noticed. Instead of making everyone think that we abandoned our blog, we want to let you know what’s up. In the past two months we have graduated, moved back to April’s hometown, spent time with family and friends whom we’ve missed, helped two of our friends plan their wedding, and applied for many, many jobs. Support Sex Positive Stores!

In case you haven’t heard of Burlesque Toy Shop, it’s an awesome sex positive store that sells some seriously great stuff. They are committed to selling only high quality, body safe products and are dedicated to discussing sexual health. We <3 them. They’ve just launched a campaign to raise money for a real-life, brick-and-mortar store, and you can support them by donating to the campaign (or at least spreading the word!). The perks you’ll receive as a ‘thank you’ for […]

NEDAwareness

So, school and life in general have kept me pretty damn busy and stressed the last couple months. Sadly, that meant I neglected to post new reviews or even hang out on Twitter.  I wanted to post a review today, but since today is the last day of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week I wanted to take the opportunity to discuss something a little more personal (yes, more personal than talking about sex toys). I want to share my experience with anorexia. I have only recently, in the past year or so, started accepting my body. For the ten years […]

Hello, Internet.

So, I am new to this blogging thing. During the past few years I’d off and on thought about starting a blog, but I had no idea what to write about, no idea where to start. Meanwhile, I bought my first sex toy. Before making my purchase, I read lots of reviews on lots of blogs. After I bought the first one, I wanted more and kept on reading those blogs. I even started reviewing some of the toys I owned, on a certain shop‘s website. Then one day it clicked for me: I could have a blog like the […]
