I really, really love Thai food. Whenever Liam and I talk about going out to eat I suggest it. Every single time, he says to me, “eh, I don’t really like Thai food that much, though…” And I remind him that he always says that but once he’s eating the food he thinks it’s tasty.
Why the hell am I going on about Thai food? Well, it’s similar to my relationship with the We-Vibe Rave. For reasons I don’t understand, I always feel kind of “meh” about the Rave when I think about using it. But when I convince myself to use it I end up having ridiculously good orgasms and wonder how I could ever feel indifferent toward it.
The Rave is an interestingly asymmetrical dildo intended for g-spot stimulation. It’s uniquely suited for gently twisting and rubbing against the g-spot. As someone who doesn’t enjoy thrusting toys much, I find this style to be infinitely more pleasurable than most traditionally shaped g-spot toys.
The Rave’s vibration is, just like I’ve come to expect from We-Vibe toys, extraordinarily strong and rumbly. The vibration strength is controlled by “+” and “-” buttons, and patterns by an “o” button (all of which I find slightly difficult to press). I like that there is a separate button for patterns so I can easily avoid them.
For clitoral stimulation, it’s not my favorite. I was expecting it to be effective for that purpose since it’s so powerful, but the shape doesn’t really do it for me.
Overall I’m very impressed by the Rave but I have a couple complaints:
1) Unfortunately, the Rave is only splashproof, not waterproof. It’s safe to clean under running water, but not to submerge in water.
As much as I love it, I know the asymmetrical shape of the We-Vibe Rave isn’t going to work for everyone. But if you’re looking for a powerful g-spotter or something with a unique shape, I highly recommend it.

Pleasure Works Cadet Vibrating Dildo
Realistic dildos aren’t usually my cup of tea. But I was eager to try Pleasure Works’ dual density toys and the Cadet Vibrating Dildo looked like a good size and shape for me. It’s just over 1.5″ diameter, with a slight curve and a pronounced coronal ridge, and without an overwhelmingly veiny texture. And, it has a hole in the base for a bullet vibrator.
I’m happy with Pleasure Works’ dual density. It’s squishier than Tantus’ O2 toys but firmer than Vixen’s VixSkin toys. I think Pleasure Works’ dual density is maybe the most realistic feeling of these three.
But how do I feel about the Cadet, specifically? I think it’s okay, adequate. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it.
The ridge of the head feels good rubbing against my g-spot, especially since the draggy silicone pulls along it. But it’s just not really a “wow” feeling. Even when I use it with my We-Vibe Tango in the base, it doesn’t seem to do much for me.
Maybe if it was more curved it would be more satisfying? Or if it had a slightly larger head? I’m not sure. I think it would be great for use with a harness, but I only use my dildos for solo play.
Even though it doesn’t vibrate, I prefer and recommend the Vixen Mustang more than the Cadet. I like that it’s a squisher dual density toy and the shape just works better for my body.
If you’re looking for a realistic dildo that you can use bullet vibes with or use in a harness, the Pleasure Works Cadet is a solid choice. If you prefer softer toys, maybe take a look at what Vixen has to offer.
You can find the Pleasure Works Cadet at Good Vibes!

As someone who doesn’t use leather products, I get really excited when kink companies make vegan stuff. I literally yelled “YESSSS!” when I found out Stockroom was releasing an entire line of vegan bondage products called Vondage.
I own the ankle and wrist cuffs, and the line also includes a leash, collar, hog-tie, blindfold, strap-on, muzzle, and cock ring, as well as ball and bit gags. If you’re curious about those items, check out these reviews by Artemesia and Taylor J Mace. I appreciate that Stockroom decided to create a whole line of products so folks have the option of getting multiple items in the same style.
The Vondage products are made from a vegan microfiber material that’s thin but surprisingly strong. I like the flexibility and breatheability of it, but if you want something that feels more substantial, you’re not gonna get that from these. Compared to my Faux Leather Cuffs from Lovehoney’s Bondage Boutique line, which also includes several vegan options, I think Vondage’s cuffs look and feel more realistic and higher quality.
Both cuffs have D-rings attached but don’t come with locks or clips to attach them to each other or to, for example, a hog-tie. The D-rings and buckles are nickel-plated, so if you’re allergic, maybe these wouldn’t be a good option.
So what the difference between the wrist and ankle cuffs? The ankle cuffs have 2 buckles, are 2.5″ wide, and fit ankles from 6″ to 12.5.” The wrist cuffs have 1 buckle, are 2″ wide, and fit wrists from 5.5″ to 8.” The ankle cuffs are more expensive, so if you want to save money and don’t mind losing that extra width and buckle, there’s really no reason not to buy the wrist cuffs if they’d fit your ankles.
If you’re looking for thinner cuffs or a vegan alternative that looks and feels like leather, I think you’d be pleased with Vondage. If that’s not your preferred aesthetic, or if you want something thicker, check out Stockroom’s silicone line.
The Vondage wrist and ankle cuffs, along with the rest of the Vondage products, can be found at Stockroom.
(PSST! The wrist cuffs are 35% off – making them only $20 – until 10/18!!)
