Crowned Jewels Marylebone Aluminum Dildo

I was first introduced to Crowned Jewels‘ products at Woodhull when Lilly showed us hers. I was impressed by the curvy designs and colorful metal and I was intrigued by what they’d be like in use. So when SheVibe was looking for someone to review the Crowned Jewels Aluminum Marylebone, I said “yes, please!”

With some toys, especially dildos, I feel indifferent initially and can only make up my mind about them after a few uses.  But with the Marylebone I had a feeling I would either absolutely love or hate it the first time. The bulbous shape looked satisfying and it’s small like I prefer, which is why I expected a pleasurable experience. Typically I like soft dildos like my VixSkin Mustang and Exotic-Erotics Phoenix though, and I had never used a metal toy before, so my my vagina was a little intimidated by the stiffness of it. Realistically I knew there was a chance I’d find the bumpy metal too hard and uncomfortable. But I was eager to try it and find out how it felt.

The verdict: I fucking loved it, and I still do!

My preference is, probably unsurprisingly, the smaller end. It has a 0.85 inch diameter1 which is just right for me. Between a 1 and 1.5 inch diameter is what I prefer for silicone dildos but with something as firm and intense as metal, apparently smaller is more comfortable for me. It’s big enough to feel the rippling sensation of the bumps but small enough that it’s easy to insert and gently thrust (the fact that it’s smooth metal makes it easier, too). And, it’s curved just enough to provide amazing pinpoint g-spot stimulation.

I’ve only been able to use the larger end, which has a diameter of 1.35 inches,2 once. I’ve been experiencing more discomfort with penetration recently so the small end has been the only one I can use comfortably. Hopefully that will change soon and I can update this review! But for now I can at least say that I appreciate its gradual tapering off after the large bulb because it doesn’t get stuck behind my pubic bone.

Thanks to the lightweight nature of aluminum, the Marylebone only weighs about 0.5 lbs. For comparison, that’s approximately a third of the weight of the Njoy Pure Wand, which is around the same size as the Marylebone but made of steel. This makes the Marylebone (and Crowned Jewels other toys) easier to hold onto. Another benefit to the aluminum is its capability for temperature play. Simply running it under warm or cold water before using it can  create an interesting experience.

The only negative thing I have to say about this toy is that it’s managed to get a few tiny scratches. However, they are only noticeable if you look at it closely, and it could have been prevented if I was more careful with it. It comes with a nice drawstring pouch and if I was more diligent about using it that would have prevented the scratches.

The Crowned Jewels Marylebone has taught me a lot. First of all, I learned how to pronounce ‘Marylebone.’ I also discovered exactly how hard it is to take a good photo of a reflective metal dildo and retain anonymity. And most importantly, I realized how rad metal toys can be.

I’m so happy with my Crowned Jewels toy and I highly recommend checking out the Marylebone and more!

THANK YOU SheVibe for sending me this product in exchange for my honest review!

  1. The Marylebone actually comes in 2 sizes, Classic and Grande, and I have the latter. The Classic, which is smaller, is only 0.7 inches in diameter on the small end. []
  2. The Classic’s large end is 1.15 inches in diameter. []
